Scalp to Scalp Hair Transplantation

The hairs at back of the scalp (back of the head) are resistant to the effect of Testosterone and therefore are resistant to male pattern of hair loss. These hairs can be extracted and transplanted to the affected area. It is called as scalp to scalp hair transplant.

 

Beard to Scalp Hair Transplantation

In case of severe hair loss from the head, there is not good donor area for the restoration of the hairs. The hairs from the beard are extracted and transplanted to the scalp for better cosmetic look. The hairs from the beard are extracted from the shadow area so that it is not visible.

 

Body to Scalp Hair Transplant

In people with severe hair loss from the scalp (head), the beard hairs are not sufficient for restoration. In these cases hairs from the body are extracted and transplanted to the affected area. The hairs normally are taken from the chest area or from any other area where there is sufficient quantity of hairs. The main disadvantage of the body hairs is that they are thin and do not grow long.
